What we cover
Korea, Actually publishes practical guides about daily life in Korea — payments, transportation, food and dining, local customs, and common situations that visitors and residents encounter. We do not publish sponsored placements disguised as guides, and we do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of a specific business, product, or service.
How we research
- Procedural and regulatory information (banking rules, transit fares, legal status of an activity, etc.) is checked against official sources at the time of writing — government sites, official operator pages, or bank/institution documentation.
- Where official sources conflict, are ambiguous, or don’t cover a situation (e.g., policy that varies by branch, region, or provider), we say so directly rather than presenting a single answer as universal.
- We avoid presenting outdated stereotypes or generic travel-blog claims as current fact. If a claim can’t be verified against a current source, it’s either flagged as such or left out.
How we update
Pages are revisited when we become aware that information has changed — a fee, a rule, a procedure, or a broader shift in how something works. The published or last-updated date on each article reflects that page’s actual review history.
Corrections
We rely partly on reader feedback to catch outdated or inaccurate details, especially for information that changes frequently (fees, hours, regulations). If you notice something wrong, email hello@koreaactuallyguide.com with the page and the issue — corrections are typically reviewed and, if valid, published promptly.
Independence
Korea, Actually is independently operated and is not affiliated with any government agency, financial institution, or transportation provider referenced in our content. We may include links to official resources for reader convenience; these are not paid placements.
Advertising and editorial separation
This site is supported by display advertising (including Google AdSense), which funds the research and writing that goes into each guide. Advertising placement is handled independently of content decisions: which topics we cover, what we say about them, and when we update them are not influenced by advertisers. We do not accept payment for favorable coverage of any specific business, product, or service.
